Born in Naples she grew up in Positano, on the Amalfi Coast. Passionate about travelling and nature, she spent several summers in South of France and later in England learning to speak fluently French and English. Since 1988 she has been involved in theatre first as a set designer, then as a performer. This passion brought her to Canada, where for three years, she lived and worked performing and leading theatre projects even in the most remote realities of the country. In 1997 she took part in an itinerant performance in Nocelle (a fraction of Positano), which gathered testimonies of the elders of the village and narrated stories of life on the mountains. Through marrying theatrical techniques and storytelling with the local habits and life she rediscovered the country and folk traditions of the Amalfi Coast, and became passionate with the idea to introduce foreigners to the most authentic aspects of her birth place. In 1999 she began to work as a hiking-guide along the trails of the Amalfi coast. Thanks to the collaboration with other guides from Sorrento, began in 2001, she extended her knowledge of the routes and trails to the Sorrento peninsula and Capri. Today she continues her theatre activities while working for several travel companies focused on hiking tours. |

Nata a Napoli e cresciuta a Positano, in Costiera Amalfitana. Amante dei viaggi e della natura, ha trascorso varie estati nel sud della Francia e poi in Inghilterra imparando a parlare correntemente francese e inglese. Dal 1988 si è dedicata al teatro, prima come scenografa in seguito come attrice. Questa Passione l'ha portata in Canada dove ha vissuto e lavorato per tre anni recitando e realizzando spettacoli anche nelle realtà più remote del paese. Nel 1997 ha partecipato alla realizzazione di uno spettacolo teatrale a Nocelle, una frazione di Positano. Nello spettacolo si raccoglievano le testimonianze degli anziani del paese e si narrava della vita sui monti. In quell’occasione, coniugando la narrazione e la teatralita', con la vita e gli usi locali, ha riscoperto e approfondito le tradizioni popolari e contadine della Costiera Amalfitana e si è appassionata alla possibilità di fare conoscere a visitatori stranieri aspetti piu’ autentici del suo luogo d’origine. Nel 1999 ha iniziato a lavorare come guida escursionistica sui sentieri della costiera amalfitana. Dal 2001 grazie alla collaborazione con altre guide della penisola sorrentina ha esteso la sua conoscenza ai sentieri della penisola e a Capri. Oggi continua la sua attività teatrale e lavora per diverse Agenzie specializzate in hiking tours. |
